Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today is my Mom's 51st birthday, and let me tell you, she's the hardest person to buy gifts for. She doesn't want anything, and on the off chance she does, she goes and buys it. So this year, I found the idea on Pinterest to reenact pictures from your childhood. I asked my brother if he wanted to do it and he thought it was a great idea too. The perfect thing to do for a person who loves her kids but doesn't like material things.   So we started doing this about a month before her birthday. It was surprising how many little details had to be right for the picture to look similar. But they turned out great, and my Mom loved them. We did about 8 different ones, but I'm only going to share a few of our favorites here.   My sister-in-law took all the pictures and helped us get the pictures just right. My brother and I had fun doing them, as they usually involved awkward posing and goofy faces.   So here they are.

This one was taken in Granny's kitchen. So it's cool to see not only how we've changed but also how her house has changed over time also. But it was taken in the exact spot :)

2013 This is the one that made my Mom laugh the most.  

And of course, we had a LOT of bloopers that didn't make the cut.   I was so excited to give it to her and her reaction was definitely worth it. She loved it!

 

 

Happy birthday, Mom! We love and appreciate you so much. I'm so glad that you got as much joy out of the pictues as we did making them for you.
