Our weekend in New Braunfels

Clayton and I traveled to the New Braunfels/San Marcos area this weekend with some friends. We had the best time.

On Friday, we left around 11am and headed that way. After a few hours of driving and some stupid roadtrip games later, we pulled up to this insanely beautiful lake house that our friend Brandon's family owned. Beautiful is an understatement actually. We dropped our stuff off at the house and went for a ride in the boat. It was so peaceful. I don't have any pictures of us on the boat though since a bumpy boat ride on a lake isn't very phone-friendly. After that we showered and went to dinner then to hang out with some friends.

Saturday, we got up at like 2 (typical..) and met up with a group to float the river for the day. It was without a doubt the most fun all of us have had in a while. I made good friends with the people we were with and we definitely made some memories that I'll never forget. We all went back to the lake house after to hang out. It was a blast.

Sunday was our last day so we got up and got breakfast. Then came back and went out on the boat again. We did the rope-swing, one of the people we were with went wake boarding (pretty impressively I might add) and then we went to this dock that you could jump off of into a deep part of the lake. It was a solid 10ft drop off. No ledge- nothing, just a platform in the air. Scaaary. People kept saying "you went skydiving but won't jump 10ft into the water?!" I don't understand it either but I couldn't get myself to do it. Lol. I had time to get pictures though. ;)

Now, we're headed home. I'm happy that I had so much fun and got to spend that time away with good company. I do miss my girl so much though.

Brandon put on Facebook "great weekend with even greater people." I couldn't have said it better myself.
