Baby Shower Fun

This past week I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get all of the stuff ready to throw a baby shower for my future sister in law. Since I was gone all last week on vacation, I had ONE WEEK to get all of the stuff together and prepared. Can you say stressed? I can!

I think I went to Hobby Lobby everyday. It's packed full with stuff for a Country baby shower. Fake flowers, baskets, bandanas, etc. I also went to Goodwill and thrifted a few items for the shower. It probably saved me about $40. I also used Amazon to get the bulk of the things I needed and since I spent quite a good amount on the website, I got free shipping! (which would have amounted to about $60!)

I used Pinterest a lot to find games to play and the "Dear Baby" wish cards we used. You can find them HERE. They were free and matched the decor. Everyone loved them, the responses were so sweet and we had the Great Grandma read them aloud. It was truly special.

I should also thank my family for helping out also. My mom made the banner that was hung across the mantle. She used craft rope and bandana patterned fabric. It turned out amazing! We clothespinned the wish cards to it and it looked really nice once it was full of them. :) Also, my Great Aunt Sandra made the cake, which was both parts delicious and beautiful!

Everyone loved the decorations, and Hilda had a great time. She got a lot of gifts and is over the moon about the baby coming. I'm so glad that it went off without a hitch and everyone had a good time. I had a really good time planning and running the shower, but maybe that's because I don't have to worry about bringing a new baby into the world in a month or so like the last baby shower I attended ;)
