Happy New Year! & we're back!

Happy New Year! Madi and I hope that everyone had a fantastic holiday. We've been taking a little breather and dealing with some things going on here. I really hate to bob in and out of the blogger world but it was best for us (me) to take a break from it all. But I'm happy to say that things are returning to normal and Madi & Me should be running like usual from now on.

I hope that I didn't lose too many followers from taking my little vacation. This holiday has been hectic in all sorts of ways, as I'm sure it was for everyone. It seems like it snuck up on us this year. In all events, I sincerely hope that everyone was surrounded with people they love for the holiday.

The break definitely gave me some time to think about things that are important to me. This blog is important to me because it allows me to share and document Madi's childhood, while also letting me share my thoughts about things. One of my resolutions this year is to make sure to not let this blog fall through the cracks even though my life may get hectic. I absolutely love being able to go back and read posts from the past and relish in it all. So, I'm going to do my best to remain HERE.

But for now... I'll share some pictures from the past month or so. Look for my posts every Tuesday and Friday.

I can't believe it's 2013!

The barista at Starbucks a couple of weeks ago made her her own special treat.

Ikea trips.

She loves to feed Brody.

I love this picture so much. We were decorating (a little late) for Christmas and she was just so happy. She is going to love the Christmas season when she's older, I can already tell.

Last year, she cried HARD sitting in Santa's lap. I was hesitant to take her this year despite her pleadings for me to take her. She would say, "Ina go see Santa, Mommy!" So I took her and look at that. A smile!

Booboo!

Christmas morning.

Her first experience with PlayDoh and she LOVES it.

Santa brought an iPad Mini this year. We have so much fun on it.

:)

For now, I'm going to sit in the quiet and write in Madi's journal.
Goodnight.
